FISKDALE: Michael J. Santos, 56, passed away at home on Thursday, January 5.  He is survived by his beloved son, Marcus Santos; parents, Al and Nancy (Wheeler) Santos; sister Tammy (Santos) Pirrera; brother Kevin Santos; longtime girlfriend Gina Curto and her children Santino and Gianna; former wife, Rhonda (Justice) Santos; and extended family, co-workers, and many friends.

Michael was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, and was raised in Tiverton, Rhode Island. He graduated from Tiverton High School and Unity College in Maine. He was employed as a federal officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the past 15 years. Prior to that, Michael worked as an officer for U.S. Customs Service and then U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  He was also part owner of Thrifty Gypsy in Sturbridge.

Michael loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, especially with his son. He was an NRA life member and member of Hamilton Rod and Gun Club.  Michael enjoyed riding dirt bikes, ATVs, and attending car shows. And he was skilled in many trades.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 15 from 2-4 p.m. at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  Catholic Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 247 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  At the family's request no other services are planned.
