The Villages, FL : Nelson O. "Pepe" LeBlanc, 88, of The Villages, Florida died peacefully in an assisted living facility in Lawrenceville, Ga on Saturday, November 29, 2025, after a brief illness.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Marand who died August 16, 2023 and a brother, Kenneth who died on February 5, 2024.  He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Binner and her husband Scott of Jefferson, Ga; their son, Sean and daughter, Desiree and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia Hemingway and her husband George of Holland, MA and their family.

He was born in Southbridge, MA son of the late Orelle and Lillian (Berthiaume) Leblanc.

He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Southbridge and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.  He served on the Distant Early Warning Line in Alaska and in Thailand and several states before retiring at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

Nel and Sylvia enjoyed their remaining years at The Villages in Florida. The Hemingway family thank them for the many memories of our summer trips with them to Destin, Florida over the last fifty years.

Funeral arrangements in Georgia are incomplete at this time.  However, Nel and Sylvia will be buried at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. with full military honors.

A Memorial Mass for Nelson will be held at St. Mary's Church of St. John Paul II Parish on March 8, 2026 at 8:00am. A previous Memorial Mass was held in the Villages, FL at St. Timothy Catholic Church on Januray 8, 2026.
