Charlton: Patricia A. (Frederick) Lawrie, 84, of Saundersdale Rd., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3rd, at UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband of 57 years, Stanley G. Lawrie, passed away in 2014. She leaves her two sons, Scott E.P. Lawrie and his wife, Suzanne of Edgewater, FL, and Brian D. Lawrie of Sturbridge; her brother, Dennis Frederick; her son-in-law, John Markley, and her daughter-in-law, Laurie Lawrie; eight beloved grandchildren, Angela Fannon, Benjamin Markley, John Markley, Gina Monahan, Cassie Davis, Kayla Lawrie, Nicholas Benoit, and Lawrie Benoit; her cherished nine great-grandchildren, Deborah Parent, Jennifer Benoit, Makenzie Fannon, Owen Davis, Colin Monahan, Jack Monahan, Ivy Markley, Sawyer Markley, and Penelope Markley; her six great-great-grandchildren, Savannah Parent, Alexander Parent, Sahmya Parent, Iris Parent, Juniper Parent and Kora Dumais, as well as her two nieces, Katy Mayette and Karen Mayette. Patricia was predeceased by her two daughters, Susan E. Markley in 2024 and Deborah K. Mann in 1998, as well as her sister, Christine Mayette in 2003.

Patricia was born in Dudley, the daughter of Raymond Robert Frederick and Helen (Hwalek) Frederick. A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Pat devoted her life to serving others through her church and her love of Christ. For more than 30 years, she was a welcoming and compassionate presence at St. Joseph's Church in Charlton, where she served as a receptionist and grief specialist, offering comfort, guidance, and a listening ear to countless families in their most difficult moments. Her ministry extended far beyond her role, as she actively worked to bring others closer to Jesus, especially through her involvement in Cursillo, where she inspired many to deepen their faith and walk with Christ. Pat also shared her gifts through hospice care and her work at American Optical Company, always leading with kindness and grace. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Church and served on the Board of Directors at the Center of Hope, living out her faith through service. Above all, she treasured time with her family—joyfully playing board games, often winning with a smile, and making lasting memories. She also held dear her trips to Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada, with her beloved husband Stanley and family.

Her faith-filled legacy will live on in all who knew and loved her, and in the many lives she touched through her kindness, compassion, and devotion to Christ. Guests are warmly invited to wear colors in celebration of her joyful spirit, though traditional attire is also welcome.
