Sturbridge: Patricia J. (Jolin) Simonelli, 83, of Colonial Dr., passed away on Monday, Feb.  10th, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband of 37 years, Arthur L. Simonelli died in 2000. She leaves her two sons, Bradley J. Simonelli and his wife Diane of Auburn and William J. Simonelli and his partner, Heather Scandale of Calais, VT; her brother, Lucien Jolin of Southbridge; a sister, Ruby Richardson of Winchester; her three cherished grandchildren, Bradley A. Simonelli, Maya J. Simonelli, Anna J. Simonelli and many nieces and nephews.  Patricia was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela J. Simonelli in 2020 and a brother, Joseph "Al" Jolin.

Patricia was born in Southbridge the daughter of Jean B. and Bertrade (Gagne) Jolin.

Patricia graduated from Mary E Wells high school and went on to receive her Associate's degree. She worked for more than 20 years as a clerk for the US Bankruptcy Court in Worcester and Springfield before retiring several years ago.  Patricia enjoyed skiing with family and friends at Sugarloaf, working in her flower gardens and her many trips to the ocean and beach. She also enjoyed socializing with the "Queen Bees" and hosting many social events including her annual 4th of July parties. She was a devote catholic and member of St. Anne St. Patrick parish in Sturbridge and loved singing in the church choir.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with at Mass at 10:00 am in St. Anne Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Feb. 17th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  Burial in St. Anne's Cemetery, Sturbridge will be private.
