Worcester/Puerto Rico : Richard L. Bouthiller, 65, of Vieques, Puerto Rico, died Sunday, June 5th, in Houston, TX, after a brief illness.

He is predeceased by his wife of many years, Barbara S. (Baker) Bouthiller. He leaves his son, Jared R. Bouthiller and his companion, Gina DiTullio of Worcester, MA; his grandson, Dominic Bouthiller. He was predeceased by his sister, Michelle Bouthiller.  He was born in Worcester the son of Lucien and Lorraine M. (Proulx) Bouthiller.

Richard graduated from S.M.U. with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He owned and operated his own machine shop as a mechanic for many years. Richard had an adventurous spirit. He received his pilots license, worked as a ski instructor, loved car racing, horses, fishing, and living in paradise. Richard was a man of many talents who offered a lending hand to anyone needing help with a car repair or house project. He was well traveled and never stopped planning his next adventure whether it was sailing, snorkeling or charter boat fishing. Richard enjoyed the simple things in life like relaxing on the beach while reading a book.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8th, at 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery in Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Friday, June 8 ^th from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the service.
