Southbridge: Robert Richard Dunphe, 34 passed away on Saturday, Sept. 18 ^th , in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Belmont Campus, Worcester, after a 2 week battle with the Covid 19 virus.

Bobby leaves his mother, Lori (Tucker) Dunphe, his father, Paul Dunphe and his younger sister, Amanda Shutts and her husband Gerald, all of Southbridge.  Bobby also leaves his beloved nephews, Gerald Shutts, Jr., Jordan Shutts and Brayden Shutts; his godfather and uncle, Patrick Tucker and his wife Lisa L. of Southbridge; his uncle, Richard "Dicky" Tucker and his wife Karen of Spencer; his uncle, Jimmy Tucker and his wife Lisa of Charlton; his aunt, Cathy Thompson and her husband Lee; his godmother, Mary Wood Dumas of Southbridge; his aunt, Debbie Dunphe of Pomfret, CT; his aunt Rita Tripp of Rogers, CT; and many, many cousins.  He also leaves Taz, the family Shih Tzu.

Bobby was born in Southbridge on Dec. 3, 1986 and lived here his entire life.  He was a 2004 graduate of Southbridge High School.  He graduated from Westfield College in 2009, receiving his bachelors degree in Movement Science Sports and Leisure.

Bobby worked at the Big Y grocery store in Southbridge for 15 years. He also worked as the game announcer for the Southbridge Softball Association for many years.  Bobby was a big sports fan, he loved the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins.  He also loved watching WWE, AEW and NXT Wrestling.

Bobby was the nicest person you would ever want to meet, never a bad word about anyone.  Everyone simply loved Bobby, so kind and considerate of others' feelings.

Calling hours for Bobby will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29 ^th , from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge, will be private.
