Charlton: Robert R. Mitchell, 61, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22 ^nd , in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife and soul mate of 38 years, Mary T. (Stoff) Mitchell; his two daughters, Kristy Mitchell and her fiancé Luis Figueroa of Southbridge and Kara Cardinale and her husband Christopher of Vero Beach, FL; his mother, Sandra (Lulli) Shaffer and her husband Roger of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Dawna Mills and her husband Kelly of Valencia, CA; and his granddaughter, Alyssa Santos of Southbridge.  He also leaves his two beloved dogs, Trixie and Lola.  Bob was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Peter E. Mitchell.

Bob worked in telecommunications for Charter/Spectrum Communications for 33 years.  He previously worked for Regep Construction in Southbridge doing foundations and did masonry work for DiPietro Masonry in Charlton.  Bob loved spending time in the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.  Above all else he loved spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughter.

Bob's funeral services and burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge, will be private.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 11 Young Rd., East Brookfield, MA 01515.
