Sturbridge – Shirley C. (Szydlik) Lorkiewicz, 81, of Main St., was peacefully called to meet the Lord on Monday, April 17th.  Her beloved husband of 41 years, Bernard J. Lorkiewicz, predeceased her in 2007.  Her life will live on in the memories of her daughter, Carrie Barnes and her husband Michael, and her precious granddaughter, Storey.

She is predeceased by her parents, Edward S. and Emily J. (Raczynski) Szydlik, and brother, Stanley E. Szydlik.  She leaves her sister, Dorothy J. Lesniewski, nieces Kristen Lesniewski and Sherry Lombardi and her family, and nephew Matthew Lesniewski and his family, and many friends, longstanding and new.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 11:00 am in the Federated Church of Sturbridge and Fiskdale, 8 Maple St., Sturbridge.  Burial will follow in St. Hedwig's cemetery, Southbridge.  There are no calling hours.
