Fiskdale – Sylvester Gile Spidle, 60, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, February 03, after an illness.

Sylvester leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Jennifer (Hoenig) Spidle, his son, Gile Spidle and his wife Heather of Warren; his daughter, Jamie Spidle and her partner Ronnie Pierce of Vermont; granddaughter, Anna Spidle; and brother Mark Spidle of Palmer.  He was predeceased by his brother Alan and sisters Mary and Sally.

Sylvester was born in Taunton, MA, the son of Laurence and Gloria (Blackburn) Spidle.  He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in Fiskdale.  Following graduation, he joined the US Army and became a Military Police Officer.

He worked as a machine operator at FLEXcon in Spencer where he retired after 25 years.  He most enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, hunting and deep-sea fishing.  Sylvester's family wishes to thank the staff from Overlook Hospice, Grove Medical and Worcester Cardiology for their care and compassion.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 11 ^th , from 9:00 to 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 11:00am.  Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
