Sturbridge: Stephen E. Moran, 53, of Cricket Dr., passed away on March 21st in UMass Memorial Hospital – Harrington, after a brief illness.

He leaves his beloved wife of over 20 years, Kimberly A. (Hicks) Moran; his three brothers, Brian Moran, John Moran and Josh Moran: his sister, Tyna Moran; his nephews, nieces and his naughty dog, Wendy. He is predeceased by his mother, Holly; his father, Hugh; his stepmother Denyse and his dog, Torey.

Stephen was born in Worcester the son of the late Hugh and Holly (Jones) Moran.  He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School and went on to work as a machinist at TTM Technologies in Stafford, CT.

Stephen was a gentle giant with a very easy going personality.  He loved life and mischief and practical jokes, although he was always funniest when he wasn't trying.  He had a wide variety of hobbies including reading, working on radio controlled vehicles, puzzles and woodworking.  He enjoyed collecting antique glass bottles and prided himself on the unique and weird items he would find at the Brimfield Flea Markets. He enjoyed trips to Maine and Vermont and loved the ocean, woods, mountains and animals.  He was a Boston Bruins fan.

Funeral services and burial for Stephen will be private. There are no calling hours.
