Holland: Susan K. (Chartier) Moloney, 83, of Mashapaug Rd., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7th, at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing, Springfield, after a long illness.

Her husband, Richard J. Moloney, passed away in 1984. Her son, Steven Moloney, passed away on January 7th of this year. She leaves her two sons, Michael Moloney and his wife Katie of Brimfield and John Moloney of Holland; her brother, Gerard Chartier and his wife Winnie of Voorheesville, NY; her son Steven's longtime companion, Cindy Sugrue of East Longmeadow; her four grandchildren, Erin Julian and her wife Samantha Akiha, Mickey Julian and his fiancé Katie Dinan, Lauren Moloney and Allie Moloney; and her two great grandchildren, Theo and Charlotte.  She was born in Holyoke, the daughter of Roger and Angela (Skypeck) Chartier.

After graduating from Tantasqua Regional High School, she attended Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Holyoke. Susan worked for more than 25 years as a Registered Nurse at the Monson Developmental Center. Susan was an avid gardener and loved cooking. She also enjoyed travelling and was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral for Susan will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am at St. Christopher's Church, 16 Sturbridge Rd. (Rte. 20), Brimfield. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery, Holland.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12th, from 9:00 to 10:30am, prior to the Mass.
