Southbridge : Susan D. (Palmerino) Zuidema, 77, of Langlois Ave., passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, Nov. 9 ^th , after an illness.

She leaves her beloved husband of 52 years, Wayne P. Zuidema, Sr.; her four sons, Wayne Zuidema, Jr. and his wife Julie of Sturbridge, Brian Zuidema and his wife Kelly of East Hampton, CT, Craig Zuidema and his wife Lisa of Sturbridge and Joseph Zuidema and his fiancé Ashley of Uxbridge; a daughter, Dawn Zuidema of Southbridge; a sister in law, Sandra Palmerino of Southbridge; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Brady, Wade, Wes, Marisha, Kayla and Tyler; a great grandchild, Rylan and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Cooper and two brothers, Joseph G. Palmerino, Jr. and Daniel Palmerino.

She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Joseph G. and Congetta L. (Loconto) Palmerino.

Susan was a graduate of Salter Secretarial School in Worcester. Upon graduating she worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Worcester before starting a family. Susan then dedicated her time to being a loving mother to her five children and also did bookkeeping for the family automotive business. Susan later worked for Southbridge Livery and AA Transportation as a bus monitor. She was a devote Catholic who was an active member of St. Mary's Church of St. John Paul II Parish in Southbridge. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and baking, reading, trips to Maine, gardening, and watching the New England Patriots.

Funeral services and burial for Susan will be private.  There are no calling hours.
