Dudley: Theresa I. (Chabot) Trudeau, 97, of Old Southbridge Rd., passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, Sept. 23rd, after an illness.

Her beloved husband of 39 years, Ernest A. Trudeau died in 1985.  Theresa leaves her two daughters, Doris I. Racicot and her husband Ray "Boy" of North Grovernordale, CT and Denise L. Dias and her husband Theodore of Whitinsville; her two grandchildren, Paul Trudeau and Gregory Racicot; and two great grandchildren, Noel and Greg.

Theresa was born in Dudley the daughter of Napoleon and Eglantine (Bousquet) Chabot.   She worked for several years at the American Optical Company in Southbridge prior to raising her family.  During WWII Theresa volunteered for the Red Cross assisting with making bandages for the wounded soldiers.  She was a devote Catholic and member of St. Stephen Church in Quinebaug, CT.  Theresa enjoyed sewing, yardwork and refinishing furniture.  Ceramics was her greatest passion of 30 years at Jessie's ceramics in Sturbridge.   She was great at anything she set her mind at doing.  Theresa's true love and passion was her family.  She cherished all her time spent with her family.   Theresa's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of VNA Hospice in Webster for their wonderful care and compassion.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00 am in St. Stephen Church, 130 Old Turnpike Rd., Quinebaug, CT.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, No. Grovernordale, CT.  A Calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28th, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, prior to the Mass.
