Sturbridge: Virginia A. "Gloria" (Arcoite) Rossi, 92, of Arnold Rd., passed away on Monday, Oct. 24 ^th , in the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center, Charlton, after a long illness.

Her husband, Philip Rossi, passed away in 2006. She leaves her son, Anthony P. Rossi of South Yarmouth; her sister, Joan Caparso and her husband Richard of Auburn; her two grandsons,  Matthew Rossi of Buzzards Bay and Dylan Rossi of Chestnut Hill; her great granddaughter, Maddison Rossi of Buzzards Bay; and many nieces and nephews.  She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Hormidas and Antoinette (Antaya) Arcoite.

Gloria was a supervisor at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for 37 years, retiring many years ago. She was a longtime member of St. Anne and St. Patrick Parish in Sturbridge.  Gloria enjoyed her summers as a resident of South Yarmouth.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 ^st , from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Anne Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge.  Burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Sturbridge.  A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 ^st , from 8:30 to 9:30am, prior to the Mass.
