Carrying on a Tradition
The funeral home was established in 1913 by Daniel T. Morrill and still bears his name. It started as a storefront operation and moved to its current location in 1929.
In the mid-1930s, Daniel's brother, Michael T. Morrill, came into the business. Michael became the sole owner of the business in 1946 when Daniel passed away. Michael was joined by his son, Philip S. Morrill, in the early 1950's.
Philip became a licensed funeral director in 1953. In 1957, Philip assumed ownership of the business from his father. Michael T. Morrill passed away in 1959. Philip was the sole funeral director/operator of the funeral home for nearly 30 years. In 1985, Philip was joined by his son Patrick S. Morrill. In 1988, Patrick became a licensed funeral director and licensed embalmer. Patrick assumed ownership of the funeral home in 2005. Philip passed away in 2010.
Patrick continues a family tradition of caring for the families the funeral home serves with honesty and integrity, a tradition started by his great-uncle Daniel T. Morrill.
